أجرى مدير الشؤون العربية في وزارة الخارجية والمغتربين محمد الأحمد، برفقة وفد يضم سفراء وممثلي عدد من البعثات الدبلوماسية العربية المعتمدة لدى سوريا، زيارة إلى بلدة بيت جن بريف دمشق، حيث قدموا واجب العزاء لأسر الشهداء الذين استشهدوا جراء العدوان الإسرائيلي على البلدة.

وأكد أعضاء الوفد وقوف دولهم إلى جانب سوريا في مواجهة الاعتداءات الإسرائيلية المتكررة على أراضيها، ورفضهم للانتهاكات المستمرة بحق المدنيين السوريين.

وفي تصريح للصحفيين، أوضح الأحمد أن السفراء وممثلي البعثات الدبلوماسية العربية الذين زاروا بلدة بيت جن اطلعوا بشكل مباشر على ملابسات التوغل الأخير، مشيراً إلى أن الأهالي شرحوا كيفية تصدي مجموعة من شبان البلدة لدورية الاحتلال الإسرائيلي المتوغلة وإجبارها على الانسحاب، قبل أن يشن العدو الإسرائيلي هجوماً انتقامياً عبر قصف عشوائي طال عدة منازل.

وأشار الأحمد إلى أن بلدة بيت جن تتعرض لاعتداءات إسرائيلية متكررة، إضافة إلى وجود عدد من الأسرى من أبنائها في سجون الاحتلال، مؤكداً أن وزارة الخارجية ستتابع الاتصالات اللازمة للعمل على إطلاق سراحهم.

ونوّه الأحمد بأهمية مرافقة السفراء العرب للوفد الرسمي السوري، معتبراً أن هذه المشاركة تمثل تجسيداً عملياً للتضامن العربي مع سوريا وقضاياها العادلة.

من جانبه، قال السفير الأردني في دمشق، سفيان القضاة، خلال تقديم واجب العزاء: “جئنا اليوم إلى بلدة بيت جن التي قدّمت قافلة من الشهداء نتيجة عدوان سافر من القوات الإسرائيلية، لنقول لأسر الشهداء إن مصابكم هو مصابنا جميعاً، وإننا نقف إلى جانبكم في هذا المصاب”، مؤكداً تضامن بلاده مع سوريا في مواجهة هذا الاعتداء الآثم الذي يشكل انتهاكاً مرفوضاً ويخالف كل القوانين والأعراف الدولية.

وشدد السفير الأردني على أن الشعب السوري ليس وحده، بل تقف معه كل الدول العربية في السراء والضراء.

وكان الاحتلال الإسرائيلي استهدف في الثامن والعشرين من الشهر الماضي منازل المدنيين في بلدة بيت جن بريف دمشق، ما أسفر عن استشهاد 13 مواطناً وإصابة العشرات، كما أقدمت قوات الاحتلال على التوغل داخل البلدة واعتقال ثلاثة من الأهالي.

Mohammad Al-Ahmad, Director of Arab Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, accompanied by a delegation including ambassadors and representatives of several Arab diplomatic missions accredited to Syria, visited the town of Beit Jinn in the Damascus countryside to offer condolences to the families of the martyrs who fell as a result of the Israeli aggression on the town.

The delegation members affirmed their countries' support for Syria in confronting repeated Israeli attacks on its territories and condemned the ongoing violations against Syrian civilians.

In a statement to journalists, Al-Ahmad explained that the ambassadors and representatives of the Arab diplomatic missions who visited Beit Jinn directly reviewed the circumstances of the recent incursion, noting that the locals explained how a group of young men confronted the Israeli occupation patrol and forced it to withdraw before the Israeli enemy retaliated with random shelling that targeted several homes.

Al-Ahmad pointed out that Beit Jinn suffers from repeated Israeli attacks, in addition to the presence of several detainees from the town in occupation prisons, confirming that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will conduct the necessary communications and follow-ups to work on their release.

He highlighted the importance of the Arab ambassadors accompanying the official Syrian delegation, considering this participation a practical embodiment of Arab solidarity with Syria and its just causes.

Meanwhile, Jordanian Ambassador in Damascus, Sofian Al-Qudah, during the condolences, said: “We came today to Beit Jinn, which has offered a convoy of martyrs as a result of the blatant aggression by Israeli forces, to tell the families of the martyrs that your loss is our loss, and we stand by you in this calamity,” affirming his country's solidarity with Syria in confronting this heinous attack that constitutes a rejected violation and contradicts all international laws and norms.

The Jordanian ambassador stressed that the Syrian people are not alone, as all Arab countries stand with them in good times and bad.

The Israeli occupation targeted civilian homes in Beit Jinn on the 28th of last month, resulting in the martyrdom of 13 citizens and injuries to dozens, while occupation forces also infiltrated the town and arrested three locals.
