شهد مقر مؤسسة “مدنيّة” في بيت فارحي بدمشق القديمة مساء اليوم عرض الفيلم الوثائقي الحصري “أطفال سوريا المسروقون”، من إنتاج شبكة “BBC Eye”، بحضور عدد من الصحفيين والحقوقيين وأهالي الأطفال المتضررين، إلى جانب ممثلين عن الجهات المعنية.

جاء عرض الفيلم ضمن فعالية نظمتها حملة “من أجل سوريا” بالتعاون مع منظمة “حراس الطفولة” والبرنامج السوري للتطوير القانوني، حيث تلا العرض نقاش موسع بين الجهات المشاركة والحضور حول قضية الأطفال السوريين المفقودين.

إخفاء مئات الأطفال في دور الأيتام

يكشف الفيلم، الذي أعدته شبكة بي بي سي بالتعاون مع مؤسسة لايت هاوس ريبورترز الإعلامية وعدد من الصحفيين السوريين والأجانب، عن إخفاء مئات الأطفال السوريين في دور أيتام تابعة للنظام السابق، حيث استُخدموا كوسيلة لابتزاز عائلاتهم خلال سنوات الثورة، وفق التحقيق المنشور على موقع لايت هاوس ريبورترز.

أدار النقاش الإعلامية وفا مصطفى، بمشاركة أحمد عرفات المدير القطري لمنظمة حراس الطفولة، وريم القاري والدة أحد الأطفال المفقودين منذ 2013، وميس قات محررة “نساء ربحن الحرب”، ويوسف رزوق من البرنامج السوري للتطوير القانوني.

تطرق المشاركون إلى أهمية توثيق الانتهاكات ضد الأطفال خلال الثورة، وضرورة تحرك الحكومة السورية لكشف الحقيقة ومحاسبة المسؤولين، إضافة إلى الأثر النفسي والاجتماعي على الأسر المتضررة وسبل دعمها قانونياً وإنسانياً.

قصص واقعية مؤثرة

من بين أهالي الأطفال المفقودين، تحدث عبد الرحمن غبيس والد الطفل محمد، الذي وردت قصته ضمن الفيلم، وقال لـالعاصمة نيوز: “ابني محمد اعتقل مع والدته عقب ولادته في أحد مشافي دمشق عام 2012، وبقي ثلاث سنوات رهن الاحتجاز قبل الإفراج عنه. نشارك اليوم لتسليط الضوء على واحدة من أبشع الجرائم التي ارتكبها النظام السابق بحق الأطفال خلال الثورة”. وأكد غبيس أن العديد من العائلات ما زالت تجهل مصير أبنائها، وأن توثيق الحقيقة هو الطريق نحو العدالة والشفاء للأسر.

تحقيقات تكشف تورط منظمة دولية

أوضحت رنيم أحمد، مديرة التواصل في حملة “من أجل سوريا”، أن مئات الأسر لا تزال تبحث عن أطفالها المفقودين، الذين أودعهم النظام السابق في دور الأيتام التابعة له، مشيرة إلى تحقيق حديث لـBBC وشركائها كشف تورط منظمة قرى الأطفال “SOS” في إخفاء هؤلاء الأطفال والتواطؤ مع النظام في هذه الجريمة.

وأضافت أحمد أن الحكومة قادرة على فتح تحقيقات شفافة وفحص الأدلة والسجلات بهدف إعادة الأطفال إلى أسرهم، لكنها أكدت أن العديد من الأسر لا تزال تبحث عن أقاربها المفقودين حتى اليوم، حيث إن مصير الأطفال الذين كبروا وتم تخريجهم من دور الأيتام غير معروف.

يُذكر أن مشروع “أطفال سوريا المسروقون” هو جزء من تحقيق دولي أوسع يتتبع ملف الإيداعات الأمنية التي قام بها النظام السابق لأطفال المعارضين السوريين، وإخفائهم لسنوات في دور أيتام تعاونت مع مجرمي الحرب وحصلت على تمويل دولي في الوقت ذاته. نسق التحقيق منظمة لايت هاوس بالتعاون مع جهات سورية ودولية مثل نساء ربحن الحرب، وسراج، وديرشبيغل، وبي بي سي، وأبزيرفر، ونُشر بـ35 لغة.

The headquarters of the \"Madaniyah\" Foundation in Beit Farhi, Old Damascus, hosted this evening the exclusive screening of the documentary film \"Stolen Children of Syria,\" produced by BBC Eye, in the presence of journalists, human rights activists, affected families, and representatives of concerned entities.

The screening was part of an event organized by the \"For Syria\" campaign in cooperation with the \"Child Guardians\" organization and the Syrian Legal Development Program, followed by an extensive discussion among participants and attendees about the issue of missing Syrian children.

Hundreds of Children Hidden in Orphanages

The film, prepared by BBC in collaboration with Lighthouse Reporters and several Syrian and foreign journalists, exposes the concealment of hundreds of Syrian children in orphanages controlled by the former regime, where they were used as leverage against their families during the years of the revolution, according to the investigation published on the Lighthouse Reporters website.

The discussion was moderated by journalist Wafa Mustafa, with participation from Ahmad Arafat, country director of Child Guardians, Reem Al-Qari, mother of a missing child since 2013, Mays Qat, editor of \"Women Won the War,\" and Youssef Razouk from the Syrian Legal Development Program.

Participants addressed the importance of documenting violations against children during the revolution and the necessity for the Syrian government to act to uncover the truth and hold those responsible accountable, in addition to the psychological and social impact on affected families and ways to support them legally and humanely.

Real and Heartbreaking Stories

Among the families of missing children, Abdulrahman Ghabis, father of the child Mohammad whose story was featured in the film, told Al-Asima News: \"My son Mohammad was detained with his mother shortly after his birth in a Damascus hospital in 2012 and remained in custody for three years before being released. We participate today to shed light on one of the most heinous crimes committed by the former regime against children during the revolution.\" Ghabis confirmed that many families still do not know the fate of their children and that documenting the truth is the path to justice and healing for families.

Investigations Reveal Involvement of an International Organization

Ranim Ahmed, communications director of the \"For Syria\" campaign, stated that hundreds of families are still searching for their missing children, who were placed by the former regime in its affiliated orphanages. She pointed to a recent investigation by BBC and its partners revealing the involvement of the SOS Children's Villages organization in hiding these children and colluding with the regime in this crime.

Ahmed added that the government is capable of conducting transparent investigations and examining evidence and records to return children to their families, but emphasized that many families still search for their missing relatives today, as the fate of orphaned children who grew up and graduated from these orphanages remains unknown.

It is worth noting that the \"Stolen Children of Syria\" project is part of a broader international investigation tracking the security detentions by the former regime of Syrian opposition children and their years-long concealment in orphanages that collaborated with war criminals while receiving international funding simultaneously. The investigation was coordinated by Lighthouse in cooperation with Syrian and international entities such as Women Won the War, Siraj, Der Spiegel, BBC, and Observer, and was published in 35 languages.

Ranim Ahmed, directrice de la communication de la campagne \"Pour la Syrie\", a déclaré que des centaines de familles recherchent toujours leurs enfants disparus, placés par l'ancien régime dans ses orphelinats affiliés. Elle a cité une enquête récente de la BBC et de ses partenaires révélant l'implication de l'organisation SOS Villages d'enfants dans la dissimulation de ces enfants et la complicité avec le régime dans ce crime.

Ahmed a ajouté que le gouvernement est capable de mener des enquêtes transparentes et d'examiner les preuves et les dossiers afin de restituer les enfants à leurs familles, mais a souligné que de nombreuses familles recherchent toujours leurs proches disparus aujourd'hui, car le sort des enfants orphelins ayant grandi et quitté ces orphelinats reste inconnu.

Il convient de noter que le projet \"Les enfants volés de Syrie\" fait partie d'une enquête internationale plus large suivant les détentions sécuritaires par l'ancien régime des enfants de l'opposition syrienne et leur dissimulation pendant des années dans des orphelinats qui ont collaboré avec des criminels de guerre tout en recevant un financement international simultanément.
